This art museum, opened in 1993, is focused on the private collection gathered overseas by Nishida Ansei of Fuji Chemicals. It is outfitted with four different galleries filled with artifacts like pottery, Buddha statues, and Russian icons gathered from China, Gandhara, Persia, Greece, Egypt and other lands connected by the ancient silk road. They also have temporary and special exhibits.

企画展が面白いです

円空×田中一光展でお邪魔しました。円空の仏像はまず貸出されないらしく、館長の人脈で数年がかりで実現したそうです。町外の方にはあまり知られていない美術館ですが、行ってみると面白いものが見れます。入館料は６００円です。
キリスト教のおどろおどろしい絵画ばかりで恐ろしくなります。

たくさんのキリスト教関係の絵画を所蔵している美術館です。しかしキリスト教関係の絵画それもおどろおどろしい絵画ばかりを展示しています。館内を進んでいくにつれそのおどろおどろしさはどんどん増してきてミッション系大学出身の私でも怖くて途中で見ていられなくなり途中で展示室から出てしまいました。展示室の雰囲気も異様に暗くキリスト教のくらい世界の部分を描写した恐ろしい絵画ばかりでげっそりします。館内の作...

美術館の２Ｆからは剱岳を正面に望むことができます。そして、上市町が誇る８か所の美景スポットへナビゲートしてくれます。館長が居れば、富山の魅力を色々と教えてくれます。入館料は通常は５００円で、企画展の時は７００円となっています。
