The museum exhibits approximately 4,200 works by Hiroshige Utagawa and Ukiyoe prints of the Utagawa school, including Meiji prints by Seichika Kobayashi, works by Kiyoo Kawamura, Ukiyoe prints and crafts. The building was designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma.

    宿泊した宿から近かったので行ってみました。隈研吾さんの設計でできた美術館はとても素敵でした。展示されている歌川広重関係の作品も素晴らしかったです。敷地内すべてが芸術作品と思えるような趣きがあり、竹林もトイレも、設計の妙を感じました。もっと広報を考えて多くの人々に鑑賞してもらいたいと思いました。
