This cafe and restaurant sprawls on the top floor of the Tochigi Prefecture Government Building. Along with a view of the city below, customers can enjoy alcoholic beverages and foods from Tochigi cultivated in the prefecture's rich soil. Situated 65 meters above the ground, the restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows from which customers can get a sweeping view of the Nikko Mountain Range; the streets of Utsunomiya City; and, on clear days, all the way to Mt. Fuji and Mt. Tsukuba. The restaurant's cuisine, made with an abundance of local specialty products such as kanpyo dried gourd strips, yuba tofu skin, Kirifuri Highlands beef, and Tochigi Prefecture-grown Koshihikari rice, is exceptionally delicious. At night, the gentle light of lamps made using Karasuyama's famous Japanese washi paper engenders a romantic atmosphere.

ランチに行った県庁15階のレストラン。地産のお料理が結構手頃に食べられて、宇都宮市内を一望できる。そんなとこなのに、なかなか美味しかった。これで、1000円…リーズナブルだった。

昨年末に続き2度目のディナーで利用させていただきました。連休の谷間のせいか、予約無しでも余裕で入れました。前回同様「かわせみ」をいただきました。内容は毎月変わるそうですが、目、舌共に満足できました。和風なパーテーション、静かな雰囲気、派手すぎない夜景で、ゆったりした食事ができました。穴場的スポットだと思います。2000円以下で、宇都宮の夜景、大人な時間を過ごしたい方には、お勧めです。
