グラバー園内の自由亭 喫茶室

園内は修学旅行生とかち合ってしまい混雑していましたが、こちらに入ると一転、静かな空間で落ち着きます。

明治に建てられた西洋料理店。
元々別の場所にあったようですが、こちらに移築されたようです。
レトロで優雅な雰囲気です。

ケーキセット920円を注文しました。

ケーキは8種類
ドリンクは16種類から選べます。
組み合わせのバリエーションは豊富です。

グラバー園の中央付近に建つ。
建物は1878年に西洋料理店「自由亭」として建築されたが1887年に廃業。その後は長崎地方裁判所の検事正官舎として使用されていた。1974年にグラバー園に移築され、現在は喫茶室として利用されている。グラバー園は斜面にあるので、歩き疲れた時の休憩にちょうどいい店である。
