Roadside Station Kayo

This roadside station is located along National Route 305 in the Kita area of Kibichuo Town, Kaga County. Besides shops with specialty processed goods and everyday items and a direct sales shop selling fresh local agricultural products and processed goods, there is a restaurant that has a free salad bar with local fresh vegetables as well as handmade soba buckwheat noodles and set meals. In addition, it also holds experiential learning workshops to make miso and soba buckwheat noodles (reservation required).

田んぼに囲まれた長閑な雰囲気ですが、農作物直売所、物産館、レストラン、フードコーナー、コンビニ（ローソン）と施設は充実しています。ブルーベリーの栽培が盛んな土地柄ということで、ブルーベリーを使用したジュースやジャムなどの加工品のほか、テイクアウトできるソフトクリームやたい焼きもありました。
真夏ならブルーベリー

よく行く道の駅ですが、今のような真夏はブルーベリーが充実しています。一般的なスーパーよりも値段が安いのは確かです。味が甘いか否かは食べてみないと分かりません。山に囲まれた標高の高い田舎にあり、トイレ、駐車場、物販が揃っていて便利な道の駅だと思います。
それほど大きくはない

それほど大きな道の駅ではありませんが、岡山市内から高梁市、新見市方面に抜ける際の裏道の途上にあります。岡山自動車道の賀陽インターチェンジから近いので、その意味でも立地は良いといえます。駐車場はそれほど大きくはありませんが、止められなくて困るようなことはなく、店内には農作物を中心に地元の物がたくさん売られています。
