Yasubo

Soba / Udon

Yasubo is an udon noodle shop located along Prefectural Route 422 in Hiruzen Yubune in the city of Maniwa. It moved to this location from the city of Marugame in Kagawa Prefecture and now serves Sanuki Udon that makes use of Hiruzen’s famously high-quality water and local ingredients. It also serves Hiruzen Oroshi Bukkake (a cold noodle dish topped with shaved daikon radish and green colored tofu made from blue soybean), Kogen Kamatama Udon (udon noodles mixed with raw egg and cheese), and the Hiruzen region's own gourmet version of stir-fried noodles, Hiruzen Yakisoba.

Okayama Main Areas

around-area-map

Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior. One of Japan's Three Great Gardens, Koraku-en in Okayama city is well worth a visit before progressing to Kurashiki, where preserved wooden Edo buildings line the picturesque canal.
