This art museum is located along Prefectural Route 28 in the Ushimado-cho area of Ushimado, Setouchi City. It exhibits works including those by the Western painter Satake Toku, known as the “olive painter,” who left paintings with olive garden motifs from his atelier in the olive gardens of Ushimado.

西大寺駅から路線バスを利用して行きまさした。鉄道利用の場合はバスを利用するしかないようです。『驚愕の超写実展』が開催されていました。写真のように綺麗な作品が多く展示してありました○
市民憩いの美術館

市役所の中という立地や、同じ建物内に図書館がある事もあって、バス停からも近い為、観光客よりも市民の利用が多いような。最上階でEVを降りると、左手に瀬戸内海の絶景が楽しめる。中々面白い展示もあり、色々な”割引”も実施している為、安価に楽しめるのもいい！ワンフロアの小さい展示室ながらも、手荷物預けのコインロッカー（￥100返却有）があるのも、有難い。

あまり大きな美術館ではないですが、小さな街のわりにはとても充実した内容でした。図書館のそばにあります。
