This hot spring facility is near Mandala Falls in Ryujin-mura, Tanabe City. Legend says it was discovered by a prominent ascetic and put to use at the behest of the dragon god Nanda Ryuo in a dream. The carbonated alkaline spring is rich in radium and renowned as one of Japan's top three beauty enhancing hot springs. Their Ozashiki tatami mat bath is one of only a few in Japan. In addition to two indoor Hinoki baths where you can enjoy the aroma and texture of Japanese cypress, they have a mixed-gender open-air bath overlooking the pure flow of the Hidaka River. You wrap yourself in a towel when bathing in this one.

山奥の温泉街

龍神温泉は美人の湯で有名ですが、食事での特産などがありません。豆腐が少しこだわっているようでした。店主の独特のあいさつは、いらないような気がします。日帰り温泉利用にはお勧めですが、わざわざ宿泊目的には遠い温泉街と思います。
日帰り入浴が出来、泉質の大変良い温泉です。

美人の湯として有名な温泉で、一回行って見たいと思ったのですが、期待を裏切らない温泉の泉質でした。ぬるぬるしていて、いかにも効能が高そうでした。また浴場が畳貼りになっており、ゆっくり入浴出来ました。ただ余り浴場が広くは無く、混んでいると日帰り入浴が出来ない場合もあります。日帰り入浴代が、タオル付きで1,000円ですが、価値は非常にありました。
