A commercial complex dedicated to Shigaraki ware situated along Prefectural Route 16 in Maki Shigaraki-cho, Koka City. The facility displays and sells tableware, flower vases, and other Shigaraki ware pieces and also offers ceramics classes. In addition, there’s a climbing kiln, restaurant, gift shop, and shop which sells Asamiya tea. The symbol of the facility, the “Largest Tanuki Statue in Japan,” is a popular photo spot.

I elected to get off the train in Kumoi, as opposed to Shigaraki, two or three stations further. Not easy to get here if youre not driving. Long train journey, but a straightforward walk from Kumoi...

お店のHPにお買い物と陶芸教室の5%引きの券があります。クレカも使えます。大き目のたぬきを買ってお店の方が今、入る箱がないので送料店持ちで保険かけて送ると親切に送ってくれました。平日でも観光バスが何台か。小学生が陶芸教室貸し切り状態。そのせいか、お湯呑みが欲しかったけどそのコーナーは閉まっていました。

甲賀市に行った際に、ちょっと立ち寄ってみました。
ちょうど、スカーレットが放送時期だったので、
信楽に見たことない様な活気があった。

たぬきは、秋だよね〜、写真映えすると思って
たぬきが沢山いそうな所を探してみると、、

いました!
沢山のたぬきで、お店は賑わってて楽しかったです。
