Tanuki-mura
A commercial complex dedicated to Shigaraki ware situated along Prefectural Route 16 in Maki Shigaraki-cho, Koka City. The facility displays and sells tableware, flower vases, and other Shigaraki ware pieces and also offers ceramics classes. In addition, there’s a climbing kiln, restaurant, gift shop, and shop which sells Asamiya tea. The symbol of the facility, the “Largest Tanuki Statue in Japan,” is a popular photo spot.
