A museum located in Shimotoira Azuchi-cho, Omihachiman City. The museum contains exhibits on artifacts excavated from ancient burial mounds and historic sites such as the Dainaka-no-ko Konan Iseki ruins; fortresses and castles from the medieval to the modern period such as and the Kannonji Castle Ruins and the Azuchi Castle Ruins; and Oda Nobunaga, the mighty samurai lord who built Azuchi Castle. The museum also holds special exhibitions.

立派な建物の相当部分が収蔵庫のようで、特別展が開催されていない限り展示スペースは極めて小さい2室です。入館料500円也の価値は全くありません。

安土城跡や信長の館などとあわせて見学するのがおすすめです。
こちらの博物館の展示も歴史好きにはたまらない内容となっています。
映像や模型での説明もわかりやすく、見入りました。
施設の周辺は公園のようにもなっていて、芝生広場などもあります。

こちらの展示物で印象的だったのは 2点;《大手道》の4種類[築城地][発掘前][発掘後][整備後]の模型及び《伝 羽柴秀吉邸》の1/40模型で こちらで夫々のイメーシを掴んでから [安土城址]を登城すると リアル感をより持ちやすくなりますので 先にこちらを訪問し [安土城址]を登城されることをお薦めします。 又 こちらには [安土城址]の模型が展示してあり、[大手道]-[伝 黒金門跡]-[伝 二...
