Futamata Castle Ruins

These ruins are located in Futamata, Futamata Town, Tenryu Ward, Hamamatsu City. It is known for being the setting for the Battle of Futamata Castle between the Takeda army and the Tokugawa army. The year of its construction is not clearly known, but it is thought to have been built after the Battle of Okehazama in 1560. Excavation efforts have led to the discovery of the foundation stone of the tower and other features.
