Takedamaru Main Store

Sushi

This sushi restaurant in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture offers seasonal fresh seafood sourced from the market each morning. In addition to sushi, the restaurant offers a varied menu that includes their fisherman's set meal, which features items such as sashimi and kinmedai no nitsuke (splendid alfonsino boiled in soy sauce), as well as their surprisingly large bikkuri-don, which feature a big bowl of rice topped with tons of seafood. Furthermore, the interior features both tatami and table seating, so the restaurant is also available for a variety of uses.

Review of Takedamaru Honten

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating
Reviewed:2019/02/06

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan's largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
