Underground Shopping Center

This underground shopping mall is located beneath Meieki-dori street, inside Nagoya Station Campus. Established in 1957, it was Japan's first underground shopping mall, previously named Nagoya Underground Shopping Mall. It currently has around 80 stores, including apparel stores and restaurants. The mall's famous image character, Mogura no Chika-chan has been a much-loved icon for over 50 years.

名古屋駅の地下街です。ういろう甘味処むらやま、喫茶シャポープラン、喫茶コンパルなど、名古屋らしい店がたくさんあります。

地下街は都市圏でありますが、日本の地下街文化は、サンロードから始まったと紹介されてました。
フロアには紳士服/婦人服/靴/バック アクセサリーなど 和食/洋食/麺類 など衣食に関わるお店があります。名古屋駅前のショッピング街の1つです。

ショッピング目的ならいいかと思います。ただ、僕は食事をしたくて行ったのですが、食事をするためのレストラン等はあまり充実していない印象なので、食事がしたければ別のところを選んだほうがよさそうです。
