Ishigaki-ike Park
Ishigaki-ike Park is a multi-purpose park located a seven-minute walk from Tamagaki Station on the JR Kansai Main Line. It includes a baseball diamond, a running track, a public swimming pool, and other exercise facilities, along with an athletic field and a garden of hygrophytic plants. Alongside the running track are Usuzumi cherry trees, a natural treasure, and during blossom season, the park is crowded with people eager to take pictures. Ishigaki Pond, the feature that gives the park its name, has a walking path around it that becomes a pink tunnel of blossoms when the cherry blossoms are at their height, so the park is an ideal place for viewing blossoms. On the island in the middle of the pond is an artificial tree for wild birds, and visitors can observe wild birds and ducks flying back and forth.
