Drive-in

Located right outside the Kisei Expressway Omiyaodai Interchange, this is the direct sales store of Ekiben no Aratake, which opened in 1895. You can enjoy select Matsusaka beef delivered from the main Matsusaka store or Kuroge-wagyu with the long-enjoyed taste of Aratake. They have various menu items, including Ekiben no Aratake's signature Ekiben Nigiwaiju using the meat from the Ganso Tokusen Gyuniku Bento (founder's select beef lunch box), and their Ekiben Gozen arranging their Tokusen Gyuniku Bento (select beef lunch box), widely famous throughout Japan with its secret sauce and soft beef, in a Shokado-style. Their braised Matsusaka-raised Kuroge-wagyu with ginger, seasoned and simmered ground meat, and soft-serve ice cream on sale in the shop are also popular.

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
