Gyutan Beef Tongue

This Matsusaka beef barbecue restaurant is located in Hayamaze-cho, Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture. It is in a stylish log cabin as its name implies (yamagoya means mountain cabin) filled with warmth of the wood. You can eat at reasonable prices to your heart's content Matsusaka beef, the finest wagyu that has attracted worldwide attention. By applying a voltage to the meat inside a special aging chamber and aging it below freezing, the savoriness of the meat itself is drawn out. Because the fragrant aged meat has no excess fat, it is less prone to sit heavy on the stomach, making it popular with women. In addition, they offer 90-minute all-you-can-eat courses at dinnertime for roast chicken and cheese dak galbi (spicy stir-fried chicken with cheese).

ランチでうかがいました。そこそこのお値段ですので、美味しいのは当たり前なのかなという所です。店員さんが少なく、注文の品がくるまでに少し時間がかかりました。ログハウス風の建物が道沿いにでてきますのですぐにわかります。

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
