Futamiura Park
This natural park connects the area from Futamiura Beach to around Meoto Iwa Rocks. Passing along Ise Bay surrounded by pine trees, it is perfect for walking while gazing at the Pacific Ocean. Besides the promenade, many tourists visit to walk because of the white sand that stretches on the coast. Located a ten-minute walk from JR Futamiura Station, it is nearby local tourist attractions such as Sea Paradise and Mishiodono Shrine. In addition, Futamiura has long been famous as a place of beauty since long ago, and many poets have praised its landscape. There are nine monuments in the vicinity of Futamiura with some of these poems, and there are monuments inscribed with poems by Saigyo and Motoori Norinaga that remain in the park.
