This roadside station, part of Shimobe Noson Culture Park, is nestled in a quiet spot in the mountains. Its attractions include a barbequing square, a relocated folk home, a grassy square, a soba noodle restaurant, and a shop offering local specialties. It also has a firefly dome where visitors can learn about fireflies. From December to February, visitors can try their hand at making Shimobe miso paste with soy beans grown in Minobu Town, a very popular activity.

下部温泉や身延に行く途中に寄ります。同じような立ち寄る人が結構いますが、施設的にはお土産や産地の農産物なども少なく、買い物や食事目的の人は物足りなさを感じるかもしれません。地元で売られているものはよく見ると結構あるので、パンやお餅などを買ってみるのもいいかもしれません。

本栖みちの途中にある道の駅です。公園に併設されているのであそべます。バスの便あり。施設内には、ハッピードリンクショップならぬ、ラッキードリンクショップがあります。食事処もあり。

地元産野菜、玉子などの売店、レストラン、バーベキュー場があります。フルーツを買ってその場でいただきましたが、美味しかったです。下部から本栖湖に向かう途中の休憩には良いとことでした。充電スタンドもありました。
