Koshu Yume Koji甲州夢小路

Other Sightseeing Spot

This historic district recreates the castle town around Kofu Castle as it appeared in the Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa periods. Visitors can enjoy shopping, dining, visiting art museums, and more in the retro atmosphere created by cobbled roads, stores located inside transplanted old folk homes, a reproduction of the hour bell that informed residents of the time for over two centuries, and other attractions. The area is conveniently located adjacent to Kofu Station's north gate.

Yamanashi prefecture is the proud home of one of Japan's most celebrated icons: Mount Fuji. Although the mountain straddles both Yamanashi and Shizuoka, the most breathtaking views of Fuji-san can be seen from the Fuji Five Lakes north of the mountain in Yamanashi prefecture. The plethora of outdoor activities in and around the lakes all have the benefit of the country's highest mountain as their backdrop, and we can assure you that it is an unforgettable sight.
