Kai no Kuni Ichinomiya Asama-jinja Shrine

This shrine is the ichinomiya (highest-ranked shrine) of Kai Province. The shrine, which is visited by many people every year, has deep ties to the Warring States period warlord Takeda Shingen. Most notably, the shrine possesses a tachi sword donated to the shrine by Takeda Shingen that is a prefecturally-designated cultural property, as well as a tanzaku (long strip of paper) featuring a poem by Takeda Shingen that is a Fuefuki City-designated tangible cultural property. The shrine's Omiyuki festival and plum branch-breaking ritual are especially well-known events.

国道２０号線を東京方面に向かって走ると中央自動車道勝沼インター入口の少し手前にあります。朱塗りの立派な鳥居の脇を入って行きます。手前にも駐車場の看板はありますが、繁忙期でなければ突き当り左右の駐車場が空いているでしょうし近いです。左折してすぐが境内駐車場です。鳥居をくぐった正面に本殿はなく、拝殿が参道の左側に９０度ずれて建っています。御朱印は社務所でいただけます。此処はセンゲン神社ではなくあ...
厳かな神社に愛らしいアレンジ

ルーツは千年以上前に遡れるほど歴史ある神社で実際厳かな雰囲気がありました。一方、干支のミニ人形が飾られていたり愛嬌あるおみくじがあったりと、子供が喜びそうな愛らしいアレンジがされていました。またお参りしたくなるような神社でした。
