This hot spring accommodation facility is at the foot of Mt. Karida in the Obuse-machi area of Kamitakai County, Nagano Prefecture. The color of the spring water changes depending on the weather conditions, a feature characteristic of natural hot springs. You can look out on the Obuse cityscape and Hokushin Gogaku from the rotenburo (open-air bath). The morning bath is popular and is available for day trips. In addition, all of the guest rooms are on the Hokushin Gogaku side of the facility, allowing you to relax while enjoying the scenery.

宿泊・日帰温泉施設ですが、信州物見湯産手形で日帰り入浴させていただきました。内湯湯舟の温泉は熱めの新鮮な湯で、薄緑色をした透明湯で硫黄臭を感じるとても気持ちイイ湯でした。内湯は北隣の温泉「穴観音の湯」の内湯の湯と似た感じがしました。階段を下りた露天風呂は白濁の湯で寝湯は満員状態で、空と山並みを眺めながら奥のぬるめの露天風呂にゆっくりと浸かりました。泉質は含硫黄-カルシウム・ナトリウム-塩化物温泉で...
気象条件で変化する温泉の色

地獄谷野猿公苑を見学したあと、猿と同様、温泉に浸ってきました。露天風呂の温泉の色は薄い緑色。気象条件により温泉の色は、無色・緑色・白濁色等に変化するそうです。硫黄のにおいもあり、これぞ温泉の雰囲気です。露天風呂には４つ寝床の湯があり、寝転がって、雪化粧の北信五岳を眺めるのも最高でした。
