"A hot spring bathhouse located in Hokujo, Hakuba Village. The hot spring's waters, unique in Shinshu, contain salt and iron, and are characterized by their dark reddish-brown color and salty flavor. Visitors can soak themselves while taking in a view of the Alps in an outdoor bath constantly replenished ""kakenagashi"" style from a 100% natural source spring. The bathhouse also has an indoor rest area and a mallet golf ground on the east side of the facility that is free for customers."

This place got renovated as well. its much cleaner now... it seems like the whole of Hakuba is getting renovated and new shops appearing everywhere... Anyway... I think most the onsen water...
High quality of hot springs but...

As it contains much mineral, this is great Onsen. But there are also some disappointing factors here.- only 1 bathtub. Need one more inside as well.- water pool inside occupies too spacious...

Totally rustic, shabby set-up, but the best water in town. Large rectangular outdoor wooden tub totally encrusted with minerals. Salty-brown opaque iron water will cure what ails ya. Cool water...
