This center at the Shin-Hotaka Ropeway's second boarding platform helps visitors enjoy themselves in the Northern Japan Alps. Their nature promenade provides a look at the trees, plant life, birds, and animals you'll encounter in Shin-Hotaka's natural environment, and their Alpine Theater shows aerial footage of the Northern Japan Alps as well as images of the changing seasons. They also provide area travel information and conduct guided walks and snowshoe tours. You can ease the fatigue of the mountains away at Shinpo-no-Yu, their natural hot spring.

天気が悪かったので、ビジターセンターのビデオを見ていました

ビジターセンターは第１ロープウェイの終点駅から歩いて2〜３分のところにありました。今回は雨風が強く天気が最悪だったので、ビジターセンター内のビデオ(アルペンシアター？)で雄大なアルプスの絶景を見て帰りました。クマの剥製の展示などもありました。
展示が面白いです。

山が好きなら展示を見るのは楽しいです。山の模型もあり、位置関係が一目でわかるようになっていて興味深く見られます。鳥の鳴き声も聞けて、覚えた後に外で耳をすますと実際にその鳥が鳴いていることもあり、一層楽しいです。お風呂もあり、こちらも空いていることが多くのんびりと過ごせます。

館内には登山の歴史や北アルプスを踏破した登山家の登山用具などが展示されています。人気のコーナーは北アルプスの雄大な姿を空撮した「アルペンシアター」です。また、日帰り入浴施設の露天風呂が併設されています。
