Coco Cafe
A café located a five minute walk from the Site of Ishida Mitsunari’s Encampment Aimed at tourists visiting the historic site; the café serves items inspired by the samurai and military commander among other things. Open from 9:30 a.m., here you can enjoy a breakfast set which includes coffee, toast, and a salad. The café’s special “Battle of Sekigahara Curry Lunch” is made with Sekigahara-grown Koshihikari rice and, inspired by Tokugawa Ieyasu, supreme commander of the Eastern Army, uses Hatcho miso as the secret ingredient. The café also sells original merchandise, and the café’s cute soaps, decorated with caricatures of the various commanders involved in the battle drawn as animals created by the owner, make a perfect souvenir.
