Kobikiya
A souvenir shop located next to the Wada House, a designated National Important Cultural Property, a three minute walk from the Shirakawa-go Bus Terminal. Inside the traditional thatched roof building, you’ll find a wide variety of products. Many of the items sold here are made with doburoku unrefined sake, a Shirakawa-go specialty product, including doburoku yokan jelly and doburoku kintsuba flour dough sweet bean cakes. The shop also carries tsukemono Japanese pickles, snacks, and sake. The shop’s small thatched roof home-shaped knickknacks and sarubobo lucky amulet dolls make perfect souvenirs. The shop’s crepe sarubobo dolls can be found no place else and come in a variety of colors, so you can choose your favorite.
