Hot Spring Fountain

This fountain located in front of Toyama Chihou Railway Unazuki Onsen Station in Kurobe City was created in 1973 on the 50th anniversary of the opening of Unazuki Onsen. It has now become a symbol of the Unazuki hot springs town. Plentiful amounts of hot 60 degree centigrade spring water drawn from Kuronagi Onsen in the Kurobe Gorge is shot up out of the fountain, creating steam. This figurative front door of the now 90 year-old Unazuki Onsen is well known as a photogenic tourist spot.
