Tateyama Highland Bus

Other Vehicle
These busses operate between Bijodaira Station and Murodo Station on the Kurobe Alpen Route, a vertical distance of around 1,500 meters. Mt. Tateyama's Murodo-daira, an area that sees some of the world's heaviest snowfall, is famous for Yuki no Otani. These massive snow walls can be seen from April to June. It is a stunning sight to watch the 20 meter-tall walls pass within centimeters of the busses' windows. Many passengers got off at one of the bus stops along on the route to enjoy its many attractions. These include the area's massive Tateyama cedar trees, a viewing platform where visitors can see Shomyo Falls, and more. Informational videos that provide information on these attractions play on monitors inside the bus.
