Chihiro's Birth House Memorial Museum

The Chihiro Iwasaki Birthplace Museum preserves the atmosphere of the Taisho Period (1912-1926), when the famous illustrator was born. The museum opened in 2004, and its gallery space features rotating exhibits of her art arranged in cooperation with the Chihiro Art Museum, allowing visitors to enjoy man aspects of her world.

ここが生家だとは全く知りませんでした。街歩きの中で地図に示されてので立寄ってみました。地図アプリが無ければ一寸分かり辛い場所でしたが、記念館となっている生家前には記念碑も立っていました。窓ガラスには「越前府中まちなか博物館」のパネルが掲げられており観光客の訪問も想定されているようでした。
