The baths at this hot spring ryokan (Japanese-style inn) located in Itoigawa City can be enjoyed as part of a day trip or any overnight stay. The mountain hut-style lodge, located at an elevation of 1,475 meters, serves as the front door to the Northern Japan Alps. There, guests can enjoy four open-air baths each with a different source: Senki-no-Yu (acidic spring), Ogonyu (magnesium bicarbonate spring), Yakushiyu (acid sulfate spring), and Mikuniichi-no-Yu (aluminum sulfate spring). Each is an outdoor mixed-gender bath (However, priority is given to female bathers at the Yakushiyu when the sign is out.). A campground fully equipped with a cooking area and other facilities is located some 600 meters from the lodge. It is closed from around mid-October to mid-March each winter due to snowfall.

最高の野天風呂

立ち寄りで4つの野天風呂を満喫しました。まずは、女性優先の薬師の湯。一番の高所で、女性が入浴中は入れません。次に仙気の湯。眺めが最高。そして、黄金の湯。山道の脇にある、ワイルドな温泉。最後に三国一の湯。唯一のぬる湯で、最も小さい。お湯はここが一番よかったです。泉質は全て違います。
生れたまんまで遮る物無しの露天風呂

北アルプス白馬岳の中腹に位置する蓮華温泉は男女混浴で遮る物がまったく無い大自然で勿論、生まれたまんま！私も60年以上生きたが、これ程ストレスを発散出来た経験は無かったはずです。増してもあの時は水知らずの御婦人と混浴でしたから。
