Okuaga Hometown Museum

Museum / Science Museum
Kanose is a thriving region with hydraulic power generation and rice production, which are used to make washi (traditional Japanese paper). This museum highlights these characteristics of the region with the three themes of electricity, washi and light. It is located on the Agano River, northbound on National Route 459 from the JR Kanose Station. In addition to the exhibits, there is also a washi paper-making experience, where adults and children alike can enjoy making their own paper and original Egg light stands, which are created by making balls of washi with a light inside.
