Landmark Myoko Kogen
This day trip hot spring resort is near the Ike-no-Taira Onsen Ski Area. The resort has both saunas and baths as well as a special black mud spring open air bath which mixes the spring water with mud from Myoko's Southern Jigokudani (Hell Valley) raising the mineral composition of the spring water and making this the perfect place to rest your tired body after a day of skiing or hiking. A low temperature charcoal sauna has a temperature of approximately 40 degrees Celsius and is available for women only for an additional fee. Along with an internet cafe and comic library with over 10,000 volumes there is a restaurant which serves Myoko Kogen beer delivered straight from the brewery.
