Michi no Eki Road Station

This roadside station is along National Route 285. This local product center offers goods made with local specialties like Hozuki and Kohaze berries, as well as items from Akita cedar. The restaurant serves 10-wari Tenzaru Soba made with 100% domestic buckwheat flour, and a wide range of other meals. There is also a shop displaying and selling local wildflowers, and locals often gather here to mingle.

its good enough to take a rest while long driving. there many own local cuisines. staffs are all elderly people with a big smile. they heartily served the meals, which i felt warm-welcoming.

太い秋田杉をふんだんに使った頑丈な建物に、こぎれいな物産、食堂があり、結構にぎわっている。訪れた時には二階で山野草展が開かれていて、この辺りの方々の文化水準の高さを垣間見れた。ドライブの休憩に丁度良いです。

上小阿仁村の村としての規模から考えると、かなり立派な道の駅で、お客さんもたくさんいました。
食堂で昼食をいただきましたが、馬肉メニューが豊富でした。ご当地グルメなのでしょうか。
馬肉定食を頼んだら、馬肉の煮込みが出てきました。
馬刺し意外の加熱した馬肉は初めて食べましたが、牛すじと豚角煮の間のような味でおいしかったです。
