Michi no Eki Road Station

This roadside station is along National Route 101. The direct-sales facility next door Orahonokan offers fresh, seasonal farm products, and the restaurant serves delicious Ishikawa Soba. The information corner allows traffic updates via their touch screen panels. The Nishikaigan Herb Garden is also nearby, and from late June into July they hold a Lavender Festival.

good for local products. the ladies in the store did not sell jizake - local sake nihonshu - but put us in touch with the local sake brewer so we could go over there directly and buy great akita sake.

国道101号線沿いにありますが、道の駅としてはやや小規模で、施設は産直市場を兼ねた売店と食堂、休憩施設のみです。
休憩施設にはパンフが置いてあり席でパンフを見ていたところ、「18時で閉鎖します」と追い出されました。利用は8時30分から18時までのようです。
Wifiの設備があり、休憩施設周辺で利用できるそうです。

たぬきが人をばかす話は有名ですが、そのぽんぽこ山がこの峰浜にあるとは驚きました。たぬきの像があります。道の駅の中はお決まりの農作物とレストランです。
