This roadside station is located in Iwate-machi, Iwate County. In the direct sales store for produce, they sell only items harvested in Iwate Town, such as shiitake mushrooms, asparagus and wasabi, and the storefront is lined with seasonal ingredients. Besides a ramen restaurant using the specialty Haru Midori cabbage and another restaurant where you can taste meat dishes with things like Iwate Menkoi Ushi, there is also a teahouse where you can enjoy ice cream and soba buckwheat noodles. In addition, it is adjoined by the Ishigami-no-oka Museum of Art sculpture museum.

緑みどりミドリ満載の石神の丘

岩手町に行くと必ず立ち寄る道の駅。いつも混んでいます。キャベツで有名な町ですが、この時期は緑野菜満載。今回は旬のアスパラガスとブロッコリーをゲット。花や野菜の苗も豊富で遠方から苗目当てに来る方もいるそうです。私もペチュニア苗をゲット。力強く元気に咲いています。石神の丘の公園は現在リニューアル工事中。来年新しくなったラベンダー畑を見られるのが楽しみです。
美術館と併設

旧・奥州街道をランニングで旅した際に立ち寄りました。美術館と併設されているせいか、アート作品？的な独特の雰囲気のある道の駅です。道の駅に立ち寄ると必ず買うご当地アイスクリームを頂きました。
地元の産物満載です。

国道わきの駐車スペースが広くて入りやすい道の駅です。地元のキャベツや長芋など地場産品が安くて豊富です。併設してレストラン美術館があって親子連れでも楽しめるスポットです。
