Kakko-ya郭公屋

Candy Store

This sweets store is located in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture. Right in the middle of the sightseeing spot Genbi Gorge, you can eat dango dumplings while enjoying the superb view. Their famous kakko dango dumplings are made in three flavors: mitarashi (sweet soy sauce), sesame and anko (red bean paste). In addition, you can make orders from the cliff opposite the store, and since the dumplings are transported across in a basket, they have become known as flying dango.
