Roadside Station Takahata is located along the Shichikashuku Highway in Akutsu in the town of Takahata. In addition to a farmers' market and a souvenir store, there is a restaurant serving dishes such as homemade soba noodles. On the other side of the road is a park with an archeological museum, where visitors can learn about ancient Japan, from the Jomon period to the Kofun period.

国道113号沿いにある山形県東置賜郡高畠町にある道の駅です。一体何十台停まれるのだろうと思うぐらい駐車場が大きいです。それと国道を挟んで目の前には「まほろば古の里歴史公園」や「安久津八幡神社」があり、ご近所には「瓜割石庭公園」や「犬の宮」「猫の宮」などもあり、この周辺の観光の拠点に便利な場所です。コンビニも近いです。広い駐車場にしては車中泊をしている人は少なく、目の前の国道も夜間は通りが少なく...
