This facility is approximately 25 minutes by car from Onagawa Town. It is located near the Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant and introduces the process of nuclear power generation through models and images in an easily accessible way. It also presents a detailed exhibition about nuclear power and its perception in society through panel displays and video based on the aftermath of the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. Their Sweet Garden on the premises has 70 varieties of roses, and they hold a rose garden fair from early summer to fall. This facility lets visitors see, feel, and learn while enjoying themselves.

拙著執筆の資料入手のため取材で伺いました
先方にも出版の趣旨を伝えておきました。
3・11でもほとんど被害のなかった女川原発と、逆に甚大な被害を被った福島原発の徹底的な違いについて、誠実に応対してくれた担当者は、納得のいく説明を的確にして頂き、今回貴重な資料まで提供して頂いたことに改めて感謝する次第です。

閑散としていたのでじっくり見ることができました。
駐車場からは女川原子力発電所構内も垣間見ることができました。
日曜日の午後に訪問しましたが施設内は閑散としていて逆に見やすかったです。
原子力発電の仕組みは詳しく説明されているうえ、場所柄東日本大震災の際の対応も勉強できました。
