Izumi Botanical Garden (泉ボタニカルガーデン)
4.5
This botanical garden at Mt. Izumigadake has a variety of flowers that you can enjoy depending on the season. These include rhododendrons in spring, Montbretia in summer, and sage flowers in the fall. There are a number of trails that visitors can wander, taking in wild grasses and flowers growing together in their marshland or mountain habitats. The Nanakita Dam is visible from part of the garden. There is also a cafe and a variety shop where you can take a break if you get tired.

Miyagi Areas

Lying along the northeastern coast of Japan, Miyagi prefecture is home to lashings of natural parks, oysters, and hot springs. While the bustling city of Sendai offers some simple city entertainment, it’s the Matsushima islands that deserve the most attention, having boosted the prefecture’s reputation as one of Japan’s most scenic views.
