Akiu Sato Center

A complex which includes convenient facilities as well as a tourist information center for visitors to the Akiu Onsen hot spring resort area. The complex is free to enter and open year round. In addition to free Wi-Fi, the complex has coin lockers, offers seasonal and Sunday bicycle rentals, and has a free hot spring footbath. The complex has an exhibition area and the Akiu Electric Railway diorama is a must-see for railway fanatics. The complex is also a popular destination for families with children. There are also exhibits containing Akiu crafts and visitors can find maps of Akiu Town noting hotel and sightseeing spot locations. The complex conducts a craft making class every Sunday and frequently holds many other events as well.
