Art Museum

A lacquerware gallery museum located in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture. Operating out of an old detached residence which once belonged to a local wealthy landowner, the gallery displays lacquerware vessels and utensils. The gallery also exhibits tools used to harvest lacquer and create lacquerware, and visitors can learn how Japanese lacquerware is made. Lacquerware is available for sale in a detached building off of the main gallery, and you can also find local craft souvenirs here as well.
