Towada Shokudo (十和田食堂)

3.5

Seafood Cuisine

Located on the shore of Lake Towada, this Japanese diner serves regional dishes made with kokanee landlocked salmon from the lake, noodle dishes, rice bowls, the restaurant's own apple pie, and more. Emphasizing freshness in its kokanee, the restaurant's kokanee sashimi, made with fish caught that day, is wonderfully taste. Depending on the day's catch, the restaurant may run out of stock early.

Review of Towada Shokudo

Centuries-old stories of samurai at Kakunodate and the remains of millennia-old archaeological sites including the likes of Isedotai invite history buffs to delve into Aomori's fascinating history. As the most northern prefecture on the Japanese mainland, Aomori enjoys a cooler climate, which makes it a welcome escape from the southern cities for combining castles, art galleries, and summer festivals with the great outdoors.
