Roadside Station Hota Elementary School

In 2014, Kyonan Municipal Hota Elementary School closed and was renovated and reborn as Hota Elementary School Community Center and Roadside Station in December 2015. Its Satoyama Shokudo is a restaurant that features the products of the area's fields and oceans, and the school's former gymnasium is now the site of a farmers' market, Kyonan Raku Ichi, which sells locally grown vegetables and flowers, and many other items that can serve as originalsouvenirs from the area. Also, on the school grounds are a lodging facility, Manabi no Yado, which preserves traces of the old school, and a hot spring facility, Sato no Oyu.
