Chikyu-no-marukumieru-oka Observatory (地球の丸く見える丘展望館)
4.0
This lookout platform is located in Tennodai in Choshi City. It sits atop the peak of Mt. Atagoyama—the tallest in the northeastern part of the prefecture—and it offers 360-degree panoramic view, 330 degrees taken up by an oceanic horizon. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji, Mt. Tsukuba, as well as the electricity-generating windmills along Byobugaura Coast, and they say you can feel the curvature of the earth. There are retail shops, event areas, and a café corner, all with great views.

Chiba Areas

The Boso Peninsula forms the main body of Chiba prefecture, and this is where you’ll find its endless warm water beaches and jagged mountains. Further inland, Narita - most famous as the home of Narita Airport - is a secret haven of tradition and history in the form of centuries-old Shinshoji Temple and quaint wooden Edo buildings. Chiba prefecture is also home to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
