Chichibu Festival Museum

A museum which presents materials and live demonstrations relating to the Chichibu Night Festival, held each year on December 3 and one of the three largest float festivals in Japan. Making use of the latest technologies, the museum recreates the sights and sounds of the festival for visitors to enjoy. Visitors can also see historical materials up close. There’s a souvenir shop on the first floor selling souvenirs related to the festival as well as original museum merchandise.

冬になるテレビでよく映し出される12月3日の秩父夜祭りを、誰でもいつでも楽しめる施設です。ずっと見たいと思ってました。秩父神社のすぐ前に位置しています。祭りの主役、屋台・笠鉾の常設展示コーナー、秩父夜祭りのハイライトが大画面いっぱいに写し出される映写コーナーは圧巻です。祭りのあれこれを説明した展示コーナーも楽しめました。入館料大人500円とは思えない位、満足しました。
