Opened as a wild monkey park in 1960, the Chichibu Hodosan Zoo brings people and animals together in a lush, natural area and is particularly popular with children. Located at the top of 497 meter tall Mt. Hodo, visitors can have fun and take in the great outdoors. The zoo’s closing time varies by season; be sure to check before visiting.

眺望の良い小動物園

宝登山ロープウェイ山頂駅から少し歩いたところにある小動物園です。小さい子供が楽しめる観光スポットが少ない秩父エリアでは、貴重な場所です。うさぎと触れ合えたり、猿に餌やりができました。山頂にあるので眺望がよく、ちょっとしたハイキング気分になれました。

埼玉県秩父郡長瀞町にある標高497ｍの宝登山の山頂付近にある小さい動物園。動物の種類は少ないけど楽しめました。入園料は大人500円小人250円です。宝登山ロープウェイの山頂駅から10分ほどアップダウンする道を歩くと着きます。もう少しロープウェイの山頂駅から近ければお客さんも来そうですが、若干静かな動物園ですね。表の雰囲気だけ見ようかなって思ってましたがせっかくなので入園しました。ウ...

名前の通り大きな動物はラマが一頭いる程度で、個体数ではニホンザルとウサギが多いです。他にはヒツジ、ヤギ、シカ、ミニブタ、クジャク、タヌキ、ガチョウ、アヒル、クジャクバト、リクガメ、といったところでした。餌やりが可能です。アクセス面ではロープウェイの終点から少々歩くことと園内が斜面となっているためアップダウンがあり雨の日やお年寄りにはキツイかもしれません。
