Gunma Museum of Natural History
This natural history museum located in Kamikuroiwa, Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture focuses on the history of life starting with Earth’s origin and Gunma Prefecture’s natural environment. Among the dynamic, popular exhibits are a full scale moving model of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a diorama of a beech forest. Kids love learning from the many hands-on exhibits too. In addition to the permanent exhibits, there is also a special exhibition room, an astronomical observatory, a learning room, and an information corner.

- ただ並べられているだけではなく、触ることのできる化石やはく製、ボーンベッドの上のガラス張りの床を歩くなど工夫が詰まっています。古生物以外の展示も充実しており、子供連れなら2時間は楽しむことができるでしょう。

- 夏休みに子供を連れて行ってきました。展示内容がとても充実しており、地球の誕生から恐竜や古生物、現代の動植物、人類史、天文と自然史を全て網羅した内容で、予想以上に子供が好奇心を持って、楽しそうに見学してました。特に恐竜の化石や模型は迫力があり必見です!人間の身体の仕組みや成り立ちなど、大人も大変勉強できる施設です。
