Yugama
The crater lake at the peak of Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane is said to be one of the world’s most acidic lakes. 300 meters across and 30 meters deep, the lake is colored emerald green thanks to volcanic gas, and reflects light in a dazing and other-worldly fashion. There is the Kusatsu-Shirane Rest House nearby, with adjacent restaurant, cafe, and rest rooms.
