Reviewed:2017/09/19 Excellent view of the cafe
The park has a quite lake. Good hiking path around the lake. A café shop is on the shore of the lake. With a large window of the lake view. It is quite and peaceful. A lecture room is on the top...

Nice place to go with kids. The playground is big and fun. We visited on a weekday so there was no other people there.

Make sure to lay down on the grass around the lake and also grab some coffee on the café with view to the lake :)

Just a stone's throw from Tokyo, Ibaraki is a coastal prefecture that has mastered juxtapositions, where old shrines meet new scientific discoveries and traditional gardens are frequented by the inventors of some of the newest technology. Head to Mito City's Kairakuen - one of Japan's Three Great Gardens - in spring to experience the cellestial blooming of fantastic cherry blossoms at the annual sakura festival.
