The Kataoka Tsurutaro Art Museum, opened in 1998, is a gallery attached to Kusatsu Hotel which can be enjoyed by families. It boasts about 120 permanent exhibits and the exhibition changes four times a year according to the season. Visitors can see the Sainokawara hot spring steam from the large window of the café at the museum, great for relaxing after appreciating the artworks. The café is also open for non-museum patrons.

絵や器などあらゆる作品が、沢山ありました。すごく良かったです。迫力があったり、繊細な淡い絵等多彩ですごく良かったです。ゆっくり見られて良かったです。

展覧会の出展作品から鳥や魚の日常的なものまでジャンルも多いです。鶴太郎さんは描きたくなったものを描く、ボクシングと同じく美術も表現の一つというスタンスとのこと。鶴太郎さんの優しさやストイックさ、気取らない人柄を感じることができました。

西の河原公園の入口の近くにありました。２０周年とのことで、入場料が６００円と、従来の１千円より安くなっております。入場せずお土産のみを買うこともできます。期待はしておりませんでしたが、展示数も意外と多くて、個人的には作品もよかったと思います。鶴太郎本人がすべて書いたとすれば、何年も準備にかかるかと思われます。有名な海外画家とは違いますが、才能を感じます。写真もフラッシュなしで撮影できますので、気軽...
