Tambara Lavender Park is a facility that opens every year from late June to early September where a lavender field and more than 100 types of wonderful flowers can be seen. In the summer two lifts operate and visitors can see the Tambara groves and highlands as well as the lavender fields from above, as if walking on air. Also a lavender oil extraction demonstration and a craft experience are available for visitors. It is located 30 minutes from the Numata Interchange on the Kan-Etsu Expressway.

沼田駅からラベンダーシーズンの週末に運行している路線バスを利用して行きました。標高1300メートルの場所にあるので涼しくて湿度も無く爽やかでした。ラベンダーはちょうど見頃で、ラベンダー以外の花も植えられていてそれも見頃で得した感じです。また来年のシーズンになったら行きたいと思っています。
